spin training
Spin training used to be required curriculum for private pilots. This requirement was removed long ago but spins still exist and the knowledge to avoid and recover from them remains important. Everyone knows about the base to final turn stall, but are you familiar with the lesser talked about departure stall?
Do you find yourself nervous performing stalls? Would you prefer to simply avoid them? Are you worried that your stall may develop into a spin? Is your instructor more nervous about stalls than you are? Stop feeling uncomfortable and expand your skill level. Often, the best way to tackle fear is head on.
Learning spin avoidance and spin recovery will help you learn to feel the aircraft's feedback and cues of what’s happening. Fully understanding and experiencing spins gives pilots great competence in spin avoidance and recovery. Spin training builds confidence.
Please note, this course is completed in one day and was developed in accordance with AC 61-67C, Stall and Spin Awareness Training. You should expect to dedicate about five to six hours completing this class. This is an advanced training environment based on a successful outcome and not linked to clock or Hobbs time.
Cessna 150s offer you the unique chance to learn spin recovery after multiple, fully developed spins. It's one of the best spinning aircraft around.
Many flight schools claim to offer "spin training" but in reality, offer a relatively short ground lesson and quick flight with three incipient spins. Don't sacrifice your training experience - challenge yourself to truly learn the subject matter.
